The themed gallery “The History and Development of Hong Kong Customs in the past century (香港海關 – 百年光影)” comprises 3 main exhibition areas:

Gateway

Displays the chronicle of Hong Kong Customs.

Time Tunnel

Displays the department's development in the past century and its significant roles at different eras.

Main Gallery

Comprises one thematic section and other sections on customs' work areas.

1. The thematic section “Protection of Endangered Species” displays seizure of endangered species and significant cases.
2. Other sections are :
   • Anti-narcotics Investigation Section – displays various tools of taking drugs in the old days, various drug concealment methods and significant cases at different eras.
   • Revenue Protection Section – displays various tools and apparatus for enforcing revenue protection and the department's enforcement action.
   • Intellectual Property Rights Protection Section – displays seizure of counterfeit products and infringing goods at different eras, and the department's efforts in promoting intellectual property rights protection.
   • Boundary Control and Trade Facilitation Section – displays customs services in boundary security, general smuggling items and trends and various trade facilitation schemes.
   • Consumer Protection Section – displays various enforcement actions in protecting consumer benefits.
   • International Cooperation Section – displays cooperation with overseas enforcement agencies and international organizations.
