Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected ketamine (with photo)

Hong Kong Customs yesterday (May 16) seized a total of about 1.4 kilograms of suspected ketamine at Lok Ma Chau Control Point. The total market value of the suspected drug is about $182,000.

Customs officers found about 1.4kg of suspected ketamine inside a paper bag carried by an incoming female passenger at Lok Ma Chau Control Point yesterday evening. The 21-year-old woman was arrested and investigation is ongoing.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
