Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine (with photos)

Hong Kong Customs seized about 520 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated market value of $460,000 at the Hong Kong International Airport on October 27.

Customs officers inspected an air mail parcel from Curacao on October 27 and seized about 520g of suspected cocaine from the parts of a bench drill.

Customs officers today (October 31) arrested a 44-year-old man suspected to be related to the case in Lai Chi Kok. Investigation is ongoing.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
