Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected ketamine at Lok Ma Chau Control Point (with photo)

Hong Kong Customs today (October 29) seized about two kilogrammes of suspected ketamine at Lok Ma Chau Control Point with a market value of about $238,000. A woman was arrested.

Customs officers examined an incoming female passenger at Lok Ma Chau Control Point this morning and found the suspected drugs inside her bag.

The 24-year-old woman, who claimed to be unemployed, will be charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear at Fanling Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (October 30).

Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, drug trafficking is a serious offence. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
