The Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme has since 1999 recognised the efforts of departments and teams which provide excellent service, to promote a customer-focused culture in the civil service, and to inspire departments and teams for continuous improvement in the delivery of public services.
The winning of the Special Citation (Application of Innovation and Technology) in the Department Service Enhancement Award (Large Department) reaffirms Hong Kong Customs’ admirable application of various tools in the development of Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (HKAEO) Programme and demonstrates the commitment of Hong Kong Customs towards Smart Customs serving the global economy as an economic development promoter.
The Office of Supply Chain Security Management will continue to use innovation and technology approach to promote the HKAEO Programme and to educate traders for preparation on HKAEO accreditation.
