Seminar on Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator Programme and New Business Opportunities in Thailand co-organized by Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department and the Office of Thai Trade Commissioner of Royal Thai Consulate General in Hong Kong

Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) and the Office of Thai Trade Commissioner of Royal Thai Consulate General in Hong Kong co-organized a seminar today (23 August 2019) on “Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (HKAEO) Programme and New Business Opportunities in Thailand”. Nearly 100 participants attended the seminar.

During the seminar, officers from the Office of Supply Chain Security Management (OSCS) of C&ED, on top of sharing the keys to the participation in the HKAEO Programme, introduced the opportunities of HKAEOs and their interrelation with the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Besides, Mr. Willy Lin, GBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Productivity Council and Honorary Trade Advisor of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand was invited to introduce the market overview and new business opportunities in Thailand.

OSCS will maintain close contact with stakeholders and organize various seminars to further promote the HKAEO Programme, so as to strengthen C&ED’s role as Trade Facilitator and Economic Development Promoter in the domestic and global economies.
