On 5 March 2025, Hong Kong Customs and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council co-organised a seminar on the sideline of the 11th International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Themed on the "Symphony of Sparkles", the show showcased high-end diamonds, pearls, gemstones and jewellery raw materials from across the globe and served as a one-stop platform pooling together international buyers to foster innovation and collaboration within the sector.
During the seminar, an officer of the Ports and Maritime Command (PMC) delivered a presentation of the Free Trade Agreement Transhipment Facilitation Scheme (FTA Scheme), underlining how exhibitors can take advantage of the Scheme to enjoy tariff concessions under relevant trade agreements between the Chinese Mainland and her trading partners.
