Hong Kong Customs co-hosted the five-day Pre-accreditation Workshop on Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programmes for the Asia-Pacific Region with the World Customs Organization (WCO) from 17 to 21 March.By bringing together representatives from the Asia-Pacific Region and WCO AEO experts, the Workshop helped increase the pool of AEO experts in the region. During the Workshop, Hong Kong Customs also held a sharing session to introduce the features and usage of AEO iPASS (self-assessment), enabling the participants to gain a better understanding of Customs' efforts in promoting and implementing the AEO programme in Hong Kong.
■Representatives from different regions introduce their own AEO Programme. The WCO experts then express their AEO knowledge through group exercises, case studies and presentations.
