The Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau, the Trade Descriptions Investigation Bureau, and the Consumer Protection Bureau formed a Publicity Team in May this year. The team set up promotional counters in various large-scale lifestyle exhibitions to educate visitors about consumer rights. The Team also distributed promotional leaflets to remind visitors of the points to note before making pre-payments, with an aim to raise their awareness of "smart spending". In addition, the team also took the opportunity to remind exhibitors to ensure their business practices complying with the laws.
