Hong Kong Customs participated in the "Privacy-Friendly Awards 2025" organised by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data and won the Gold Award. The Awards this year, with the theme of "Safeguarding Data Security : Marching towards a New Digital Era", aimed to recognise the commitment and efforts of organisations in the protection of personal data privacy. As data security is an important component of the holistic approach to national security, Customs will continue to uphold robust data governance to protect personal data privacy and safeguard data security.
