The Assistant Commissioner (Excise and Strategic Support) of Customs and Excise, Mr Ng Chun-wah (right), on 29 October led a delegation to the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, and met with the Head of the International Cooperation Department of the State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan, Mr Yermek Kozhabergenov (left). The two signed the AEO MRA Action Plan, marking a significant milestone in commencing the formal negotiation of MRA between both Customs administrations.
This is the first MRA Action Plan signed with a partner in Central Asia by Hong Kong Customs. It established a strategic gateway to the region and paved the way for expanding the MRA network in Central Asia.
