The Civil Service Volunteer Commendation Scheme, which includes awards for volunteer teams and individuals, was launched last year to recognise civil servants' contribution to volunteer service. The C&ED Volunteer Team received the Meritorious Volunteer Service Award and a member of the Volunteer Team, Ms Wong Kit-fong, received the Outstanding Volunteer Leader Award. A number of C&ED colleagues and retirees with outstanding contributions in volunteerism also received various types of Volunteer Award.
