On 14 November last year, Hong Kong Customs held a departmental seminar of the National Security Series in which the former President of the Legislative Council, Dr Rita Fan, was invited to give a sharing on "Relevance of National Security to Me". Nearly 300 Customs officers attended the event. Dr Fan encouraged Customs officers to consider Hong Kong's future through the lens of the holistic national security concept, adopt a bottom-line mindset in risk prevention, and cultivate an all-round development awareness in order to achieve diversified and balanced economic growth.
