During the Labour Day Golden Week holiday, Hong Kong Customs stepped up patrols at popular shopping spots across various districts to remind traders to comply with the Trade Descriptions Ordinance.
Customs officers also distributed pamphlets at land boundary control points and shopping hotspots to share smart shopping tips with visitors and citizens, including patronising reputable merchants, in order to safeguard consumer rights.
