International Cooperation in Focus: Hong Kong Customs Expands Trade Networks and Ensures Regional Security

Hong Kong Customs actively engages in international cooperation by organizing meeting with customs administrations and government departments worldwide. They have collaborated with the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the Danish Patent and Trademark Office, the Shenzhen Customs District, the Thai Customs Department and the General Department of Vietnam Customs. In November, Hong Kong Customs attended a conference with Korea Customs Service in Korea, where they signed the Customs Cooperative and Mutual Assistance Arrangement. The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) with Macao Customs Service was also signed in Macao this November.

Looking ahead, Hong Kong Customs will continue to strengthen regional security cooperation and expand the AEO Programme and MRA network in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.
