The Consul-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong, Mr Federico Lage Cabeza, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Mr Chan Tsz-tat, on 17 December 2025 to forge closer ties and strengthen business connections between the two sides. Both parties discussed the promotion of trade facilitation and enhancement of bilateral collaboration, particularly the development of the Customs Co-operative Arrangement between the two administrations.
